Rainwater
This book was a departure from my usual fast-paced, sexy, confident modern heroine type books. I'd also never read a story set in the Depression. However when I learned this was a book of Sandra Brown's heart, I knew I had to read it. I'm glad I did even though it didn't have your typical "happily ever after." The writing was evocative, the emotions were taut, and the plot compelling. 4 1/2 stars.
